On-Board PMO is currently hiring Chemical/Mixer Operators in Cleveland, Ohio!Details:Type: Permanent Full TimeLocation: Cleveland, OHShift: 2nd shift (1:30pm - 10pm)Compensation: $24.75 per hourJob Summary: Monitors and operates high-hazard chemical plant equipment and facilities (i.e. distillation, polymerization), including field equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary. Performs basic maintenance repair and upkeep on area equipment. Qualified to perform basic maintenance activities. Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision.ROLE DEFINITION:As a Mixing Technician you will be responsible and accountable for the safe and efficient mixing of batches of chemical materials by adding raw materials into a mixing pot. This role works from 1:30PM to 10:00PM and may require overtime throughout the week and sometimes on Saturdays.Training for the position will take place during 1st shift hours (5:30AM - 2:00PM) for approx. 1 - 3 weeks.RESPONSIBILITIES:Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:• Adhere to quality and safety systems and standards• Handle hazardous raw materials and products with appropriate care and precaution• Monitor process conditions and equipment• Participate in the creation and the maintenance of a clean work areaRequirements:• High School education or GED equivalent (required)• Experience operating a fork truck is a plus• Experience working in a manufacturing environment or clean room is preferred• Willing and able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required• Willing and able to work in a restricted, electrically classified area for use of flammable and combustible materials• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs**standard physical to include Range of motion of all extremities and a visual exam is requiredAbout Us:On-Board was founded in 1976 by Robert L.
