Specify process materials, process methods, equipment and systems to achieve project requirements/goals. ESPONSBILITIES: Assist Production Manager and Engineering Manager with making plant-wide process improvement changes and with future planningdecisions. Utilize knowledge of chemical production equipment and processes to set-up new chemical process on the production floor an
d
optimize heir output. Utilize DMAIC method to make informed decisionson process mprovements. Utilize knowledge of aqueous chemical production process methods to improve production cycles f
o
r hydro-procssing of PGMS. Prioritize process improvements and look to make improvements that lead to the most impact with least amount of effort. Investigate new refining processes/methods to determine improvements and changes that will result in reduced precious metal inventories and possible lower perating costs. Understand solid/liquid separation chemistry and additi

nal ways to miimize acid use. Assist in KAIZEN events; work with operators and supervisors to create current state value stream maps, perform Do Its and small enineering changes. Assist Engineering Manager, Facilities Manager and Maintenance Supervisor with the maintenance and review of the current PSM (Process Safety M

gement) Mechanicl integrity program. Help to schedule preventative maintenance intervals and equiment/process reviews. Ensure that PM database is
accurate and up to dte for PSM processes. Conduct Process Safety reviews, including FMEA, Process Hazards Analysis (PHA), Layers of Protec
tion Analysis (LOPA), nd fault Tree Analysis. Monitor/supervise work of less-experienced plant perso

nel and assist with thir training/development.
