Job Description:
Location: Shelton, CTSalary: $85,000 - $110,000 (Relocation Assistance Available)Travel Required: 10%Benefits: Full benefits package starting Day 1 (medical, dental, vision, 401K, etc.)Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor, Chemicals and Compounds to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations of the compounding department, working closely with the research and development team to continuously improve product quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical production, leadership skills, and the ability to analyze data and troubleshoot complex issues.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate R&D activities related to chemical and compound production
  • Support product development, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts
  • Manage the compound team and ensure that production meets quality standards and deadlines
  • Collect, analyze, and report data for ongoing projects and experiments
  • Oversee the manufacturing of compounds, ensuring timely delivery of product batches
  • Verify incoming deliveries and maintain records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Manage team performance using metrics such as SQDIP boards and provide regular status updates
  • Supervise and address safety, productivity, and quality control issues within the department
  • Ensure equipment is well-maintained by coordinating with the Maintenance Department
  • Document production processes and ensure accurate reporting to senior management
  • Oversee housekeeping and environmental compliance within the work area
  • Review and approve team members' timecards, ensuring adherence to schedules
Additional Responsibilities:Duties may evolve based on business needs. The employee may occasionally be required to oversee overnight shifts and handle unexpected challenges.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge in production planning, data analysis, and leadership
  • Proven ability to manage R&D projects and deliver high-quality results
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
