JOB DESCRIPTIONWe Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE Incineration unit is seeking a Receiving Chemist Trainer who will train/mentor new and existing employees toward Drum Receiving/Lab Pack coding operations within the facility. This is a full-time, permanent position with our Company in Kimball, NE, offering hourly wages starting at $29, DOE, paid weekly.Monday-Friday 5:30AM - 2:30PM. Why work for Clean Harbors?

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Sample all incoming drums and perform basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures
  • Calibrate and utilize lab instrumentation required to run basic analysis
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with waste analysis and drum sampling and ensure all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines
  • Properly manage the waste generated from testing procedures
  • Assure that all drums are properly coded and assigned a proper label or profile
  • Responsible for knowledge of the Company's Waste Information Network (WIN) system applicable to receiving, routing and billing of drums
  • Operate a forklift to transfer drums throughout the warehouse
  • Create, edit, and review Standard Operating Procedures + Job Hazard Analysis specific to area of operation
  • Perform weekly Standard Operating Procedure audits
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions within the facility, including but not limited to new hire practical, single and 5-gas monitors, and mobile/lift equipment.
  • Maintain training records
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Windows-based computer applications
  • Previous experience in Receiving Chemist position preferred
  • Completion of college level Chemistry class
  • Completion of Associate's Degree, Vocational or Trade School preferred
  • Previous experience operating the following pieces of equipment required: electric forklift, propane forklift and scissor lift.

  • Proficiency in Windows based applications
  • Climb on and off forklifts
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to your waste
  • Climb up and down vertical ladders
  • Capable of reaching out, over and down exerting a force
  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical
  • 10 pushups, deep knee squats and sit-ups (to determine if fit)
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Punctuality and attendance required
  • Respirator fit test upon hire- clean shaven face required (mustache okay!)
  • Background check, drug screen and physical- required
  • MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS DAYS/NIGHTS- NO EXCEPTION
