The clinical laboratories operate 24 hours a day and perform more than four million individual tests annually. We offer a full range of diagnostic services in laboratory medicine with sections devoted to Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology and Blood Bank. An integrated laboratory information system, Meditech, allows for rapid reporting and remote access to results for patient management. Chemistry Lab Supervisor - Full-Time - Days As a Chemistry Lab Supervisor at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, you will oversee the daily operations of the Chemistry and Processing laboratories. In this important role, you'll maintain a daily schedule of personnel to ensure all laboratory sections are adequately staffed for the specimen volume and oversee laboratory staff in the performance of qualitative and quantitative test procedures. Here you'll have the opportunity to work with nationally accredited colleagues and contribute to lifesaving results. Take on this critical leadership position and serve as a role model and educational resource, fostering an environment of collaboration, creativity, research and continuous learning. Leveraging your strong interpersonal skills, you'll be a trusted point of contact for the nursing units and physicians as your interface with staff across the hospital.
Preferred Criteria - Masters degree
- ASCP certification
Required Criteria - Bachelor's degree
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the NY Education Department
- 6 years clinical laboratory experience, of which 3 years are as a supervisor
