Responsible to prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries in a courteous and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area in accordance with company standards and procedures. The Gourmet Coffee Attendant also has the opportunity to promote coffee consumption by educating customers. Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Become familiar with all menu items and general hotel information.
  • Take coffee orders from guests and ensure correct and prompt delivery of orders.
  • Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
  • Use the automated point of service (POS) system to process orders.
  • Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Follow all proper check control procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    • Knowledge of the basic functions of food operations. Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, and guests.
    • Relevant experience in a high quality, high volume operation preferred.
