Thrive Here.Additional Job Description:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE PRACTITIONER: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master's Degree in Nursing 2. National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers 3. Licensure or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia. 4. American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department. 5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) at the discretion of the department. EXPERIENCE: 1. Three years of extensive clinical experience with in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pharmacology. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. ACNP preferred. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's Degree as Physician Assistant or Master's Degree as Physician Assistant required. 2. Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required. 3. Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required. 4. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the WV Board of Medicine or WV Board of Osteopathic Medicine. 5. American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department. 6. As Thomas Health System's Chief Advanced Practice Professional for Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) of Thomas Health System (THS) and St. Francis Hospital shall perform the following administrative duties and responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities1. Clinical practice in addition to administrative duties: a) Minimum of 68.1 hours per month clinical and 68.1 hours Administrative, b) Be credentialed and privileged to work as a clinician at designated THS facilities in assigned region.2. Management of personnel, new program development, policy, and regulatory compliance.3. Promote Company goals as they relate to clinical and client satisfaction, recruiting and retention.4. Collaborate with all THS and SMG Medical Directors and Lead APP (LAPPs) to facilitate the supervision and management of APPs. This may include, but is not limited to scheduling, participation in interviewing and selection process of APPs as requested, compliance training, performance evaluations, and making recommendations for corrective action.5. Collaborate with CMO or designee to promote clinical and operational performance best practices within THS.6. Work with recruitment staff, all THS Medical Directors and LAPPs to maintain appropriate clinical staffing.7. Ensure completion of orientation of all APPs within the assigned Hospital System.8. Work with all THS Medical Directors and THS Leadership to review data including specific Quality Assurance Data and other site and company metrics to provide for process improvement.9. Advise THS Leadership regarding legal issues, state scope of practice, and appropriate utilization and supervision of APPs.10. Assist in dissemination of information to the APPs to include organization and group initiatives.12. Attend THS leadership meetings as requested.13. Attend all THS Department facility level meetings as requested by CMO and THS Medical Directors.14. Work with the CMO, and all THS Medical Directors and THS Hospital Management Teams, colleagues, and nursing staff to facilitate communication and assist in continued teamwork development, resolution of conflicts, and new process efforts.15. Responsible for ensuring that 90-day and annual performance evaluations of all APPs within assigned facilities are completed by due dates and signed off by the THS Medical Directors.16. Works with LAPP and THS Medical Directors to ensure rounding activity occurs on all APPs within the assigned Hospital system.17. Work with LAPPs, THS Medical Directors and THS Hospital Leaders to facilitate operations, communication, and community among THS APPs.18. Mentor LAPPs in areas of responsibility.19. Assist all THS Medical Directors and LAPPs with chart audits in conjunction with Documentation Specialists as requested.20. Assist in maintaining delegation protocols, delineation of privileges, and scope of practice criteria as needed.21. Assist schedulers in arranging emergency shift coverage as needed.22. Provide occasional emergency staffing coverage at facilities as available23. Participate as a team member on contract start-ups.24. Work with THS Medical Directors and THS Leadership on budget and compensation issues as they relate to APPs.25. Work with THS Medical Directors, Service line Leadership, SMG HR Business Partner, and SMG Employee Relations to develop policy and resolve employee relations issues.26. Provide input to Company leadership as a subject matter expert from the perspective of an THS as requested.27. Promote a positive image for Company among its providers, facility personnel, facility administration and community.28. Work with THS Service line Office Managers on any payroll or extra duty submissions.29.
