SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Chief Clinical Dietitian provides leadership, support, and guidance to the staff dietitians who provide medical nutrition therapy and resident satisfaction.
The Chief Clinical Dietitian must have extensive background in therapeutic nutrition , must have updated knowledge in specialized diets, and must be able to create individualized nutrition care plan to encourage patients' health and recovery.
The Chief Clinical Dietitian must have good people skills, communication skill and problem-solving skills, and must be a good team player.
This position also supports the Director of Food Services with menu planning, food service operations, and data reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in nutrition from a nationally accredited college/university, Master degree a plus .
- National registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- At least two years experience as a chief clinical dietitian .
- Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
- Excellent computer proficiency. Computer literacy skills (outlook, Microsoft office, power point, clinical software systems/EMR, internet)
- Effective and proven management and leadership skills
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes (Federal, and/or State Regulations)
