Role and Responsibilities Role Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery on vessel, including preventative maintenance of all machinery
- Ensures tools, equipment, parts and supplies are cleaned, organized, and inventoried
- Retains maintenance logs, supply orders, equipment lists, etc.
- Reports unsafe conditions to the Master and take action to prevent accidents.
- Ensures the Engine Department is operated in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and Andrie LLC Standard Operating Procedures
- Trains subordinates as required
- Assists Port Engineer and Director of Engineering in the efficient planning and execution of approved annual maintenance projects
- Knowledge of all vessel systems; hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, diesel, propulsion and auxiliaries.
- Basic computer skills
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Position RequirementsQualifications Licensing Requirements
- Possess, at minimum, a DDE 4000 USCG License
- Valid CPR, First Aid, and Firefighting Certificates
- Possess a current Passport
- Possess a current TWIC
