Position Summary - This position is responsible for the oversight and development of Engineering for Family Entertainment Television. The position leads the technical efforts to provide high quality, family friendly and financially viable television programming.Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
- Manage overall direction of FETV's and FBC's engineering efforts for television, and FM radio
- Evaluate, select and purchase broadcast equipment for studios, control rooms, master control, etc.
- Maintenance and control of both analog and digital broadcasting transmitters and equipment.
- Recommends the acquisition, implementation, maintenance and replacement of technology infrastructure; researches, evaluates and recommends new technologies.
- Component level trouble shooting.
- Perform preventative maintenance schedules.
- Test and maintain transmitters and production equipment.
- Oversee the repair and operation of all equipment
- Install and upkeep satellite systems.
- Maintain accurate FCC records.
- Provide engineering support for Master Control and Production departments.
- Supervise technical support staff assigned to Engineering.
- Manage the operations for Engineering including but not limited to budgeting, physical and financial asset management, and resources planning.
- Ensures compliance with the FCC and all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related broadcasting field, and ten years of experience combined in Engineering and Broadcasting.

- Electronics training is a must. (at least - military electronics training, electronics trade school, or college electronics degree)
- Knowledge of television engineering and production.

- Willingness to travel and have reliable transportation.
- Ability to be on call 24 hours.
