Responsible for facilitating annual budget process and annual audit. Responsible for maintaining current contracts. Responsible for financial and budget generation and analysis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plans, implements, evaluates and modifies agency-wide financial initiatives and procedures in accordance with, mission, strategic direction, legal parameters and agency contracts. When designated, performs the duties of the President in his/her absence as outlined in bylaws and policy. Serves as a corporate officer. In conjunction with the President, reports to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee about agency financial matters. Facilitates annual budgeting process in conjunction with agency-wide management team. Works to ensure fiscal viability of agency and maintenance of positive cash flow for ongoing operations. Evaluates and recommends options for agency investments, benefit packages, capital purchases and other matters. Responsible for ongoing oversight of payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, billing, facilities/maintenance and other functions within designated department. Establishes, implements, evaluates and modifies internal controls sufficient to deter misuse of agency resources. Coordinates all internal and external financial audit functions. Maintain fiscal accountability for current contracts. Maintain current insurance coverage (General liability etc.) Evaluates and reports agency financial trends and makes recommendations for concerns. Prepares budgets for new proposals. Ensures that new projects are financially viable into the future. Works with the President to address financial concerns during contract negotiations. Works in conjunction with management team to develop and implement policies and procedures in a fair and equitable manner. Cultivates and maintains relationships with community partners and contract entities. Hires, supervises, evaluates and disciplines assigned staff. Keeps appropriate documentation. Participates in agency-wide committees. Serves as a member of agency management team. Supports the goals of the agency mission. Attends trainings and meetings as required. Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor'sdegree in Business Administration/Accounting & CPA licensure required; Master's preferred Minimum three years experience required Minimum one year supervision experience required Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Excel Working knowledge of Windows-based accounting and general ledger packages Knowledge of payroll software Proficiency with formal report writing Experience/knowledge of budget and finance Knowledge of state and governing authority licensing requirements for human services and child-caring agencies. Valid Wisconsin driver's license and liability insurance. Ability to display cultural competence by responding respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions and other diversity factors in a manner that recognizes, affirms and values the worth of individuals, families and communities and protects and preserves the dignity of each.
