We are currently seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that believes in equitable, accessible care for all.

About Us:InterCommunity Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look Alike (FQHCLA) providing comprehensive health services, including primary care, behavioral health, addiction recovery, and community-based support to individuals and families across the Greater Hartford region. Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. The CFO will oversee the financial operations of InterCommunity Health Care, ensuring the organization's long-term fiscal sustainability and growth. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting, as well as ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to align financial strategies with our mission of improving community health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee financial risk management, internal controls, and audit functions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, especially those governing FQHCs.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights for decision-making and organizational growth.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow, investment strategies, and overall financial health of the organization.
  • Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Lead initiatives to identify and implement operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant financial certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial leadership, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit organizations.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Experience working within an FQHC or healthcare setting is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and grants management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
