The Chief Financial Officer for Continental Automotive, North America is responsible for leading the financial initiatives and driving profitability within the Region. The CFO will analyze and strategize on operational impacts for continued success within the Industry through various areas:

  • Ensuring compliance with Continental's Financial Reporting and International Financial Reporting Standards across the Region.
  • Ensuring successful internal and external year-end audits with external vendor PWC.
  • Managing external auditors, compliance-related issues, and internal controls for the Region.
  • Proposing and implementing necessary measures to ensure the annual Cross Functional Budgets are achieved.
  • Advising on both short-term and long-term growth opportunities, risks, and urgent matters which could impact the financial success of the organization.
  • Developing processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate collection of approximately 4+ billion euro of revenue from customers.
  • Developing processes and strategy for the timely and accurate distribution of approximately 2.5 billion euro in annual supplier/service provider payments.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with Financial Institutions to ensure funding for operations.
  • Developing cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate funding of operations.
  • Oversight of the Pension Committee.
  • Accurate reporting and timely payment of Federal, State, Sales & Used Tax and resolution of Audit inquiries for North America.
  • Oversight of Risk Management, Loss Prevention, and Corporate Real Estate Management for the Region.
  • Managing State, Local incentives and ensuring timely reporting requirements.
  • Leading Internal Audit and Special Investigations.
  • Scouting Location Incentives.
  • Supporting M&A activity.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field. Minimum 15 years progressive Finance and Accounting experience, preferably in the Automotive Industry. Minimum 5 years leadership experience.

    Preferred Qualifications: MBA and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
