Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the company's financial administration and planning, including financial policy development, management of accounting systems, budget planning, risk management, insurance, purchasing, taxation, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Utilize technology to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage relationships with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community.
- Contribute to short- and long-term planning, identifying areas for growth and new profit opportunities.
- Oversee and manage fiduciary funds, ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of premiums from clients to insurance carrier partners.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, and audit management.
- Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and capital budgets for all entities related to our organization.
- Establish and maintain internal systems to support financial and business operations in line with growth and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and report on the organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
- Direct the establishment and maintenance of budget programs with department and regional leaders
- Implement and maintain effective cost control measures, including the management of employee and company expenses through policies and systems
- Manage the preparation and issuance of annual and quarterly reports.
- Oversee tax reporting and compliance.
- Lead, train, supervise, and motivate the accounting & finance team; manage schedules and workflow.
- Provide daily guidance and oversight to subordinates; promote and recognize performance.
- Stay updated on team activities, identify problem areas, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CPA designation and/or an advanced degree in Finance/Accounting
- Minimum of seven to ten years of related experience in finance and management.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proven ability to leverage technology for financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrated leadership and business acumen skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management.
