Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team in our Minneapolis Office. The CFO will be responsible for driving the company's financial planning, performing risk management, and overseeing all financial activities to ensure the company's financial health and growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling organizations, managing acquisitions, and developing effective cash flow strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the company's financial planning and strategyDevelop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitabilityEnsure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operationsControl, and continuously improve, the capital structure in alignment with long-term strategiesCreate and manage the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts including month-end reconciliations, bank reporting, annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, annual audits, cashflow projects and project cost accountingPerform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investmentsDecide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risksSupervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers, etc.)Establish clear department roles, processes and measurements of success for the finance departmentManage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement and servicesPrepare reliable current and forecasting reportsSet up and oversee the company's finance IT systemEnsure compliance with the law and company's policiesDevelop and oversee procurement strategy, execution and deliverablesAct as key member of the Senior leadership team providing keen insight regarding finance, risk, planning and strategyProvide coaching, mentorship and training to build strong financial acumen and fiduciary responsibilityQualifications:
Proven experience as CFO or in a similar financial leadership roleIn-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practicesStrong understanding of cash flow management, investments, and financial planningSuccessful experience scaling organizations and managing acquisitionsDemonstrated skills working cross-functionally to support the full company strategyProven leadership, coaching and commitment to teaching and continuous improvementExcellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methodsProficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)Strong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCPA or MBA is a plusEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMaster's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferredExperience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial positionDemonstrated experience in financial planning, risk management, and fundraisingStrong track record of developing financial strategies and building action plans to bring them to lifeSkills:
