Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the oversight of the financial operations of the bank. The CFO will provide strategic leadership, manage financial risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial performance to support the goals of the bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the bank's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports, and disclosures in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the bank's capital planning, liquidity management, and investment strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including credit, market, liquidity, and operational, in collaboration with other risk management functions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Serve as a key liaison with auditors and regulatory authorities to effectively communicate the bank's financial performance and strategy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and at least ten years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience required. CPA required. Strong preference for candidates with experience working in the banking industry. Thorough knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and risk management principles. Ability to develop and execute financial strategies to drive growth, profitability, and value. Keen analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to navigate complex financial challenges. Strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior managers, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
