Who You Are:

You're an experienced dynamic Chief Financial Officer that will strategically lead and tactically execute a wide variety of financial operations, drive the vision for the finance team, and help further position our firm for growth. This role will be responsible for leading a small, yet mighty team, while taking full ownership of the accounting and finance function. It's a great opportunity for a candidate who has experience in professional services and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to dig in. This role will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting and analysis, calculating commissions, financial statements, managing risk and cash position, the general ledger, and optimizing and developing our proprietary systems.

What You'll Do:

  • First and foremost, align with our organization's mission and client centric approach and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, team-oriented setting
  • Use your bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field along with your 10+ years of experience and CMA, CPA or MBA to keep the trains running on time by ensuring the accounting processes (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting) are accurate and timely delivered according to GAAP
  • Participate in the strategic planning and business goal execution as a member of the leadership team by helping the organization to understand financial implications of decisions as we continue to grow
  • Foster a strong, positive people culture with excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to build relationships, leverage resources across the organization, and build a culture of accountability within the finance team
  • With both a strategic lens, and passion for detail, you will implement, manage and optimize sustainable accounting policies, processes, internal controls and systems while working to continually improve efficiency, accuracy and impact
  • Lead, coordinate and review the annual budgeting process and forecasts alongside the leadership team
  • Prepare and provide accurate, timely, monthly and year end financials and financial reporting to the leadership team and other groups as necessary
  • Continuously enhance system processes to improve the financial close process, business insights and analysis to support execution of strategic initiatives in finance operations
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
