CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
As the top financial leader in the organization, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the company's financial health and growth. Key responsibilities include building and leading a high-performingfinance and accounting team, ensuring the balance of revenues and expenses, overseeing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), collaborating with department heads to analyze financial data, creating budgets, ensuring the accuracy of reports, and advising the CEO, leadership, and directors on strategy.Additionally, the CFO will influence technology decisions and offer fiscal insights that shape areas such as supply chain and marketing, leveraging their industry expertise.Key Responsibilities:
- Define Financial Strategy: Lead the development of the organization's financial strategy to align with its strategic and commercial objectives.
- Optimize Financial Processes: Continuously review and enhance financial management processes and systems to ensure they remain effective as the business evolves.
- Global Team Leadership: Manage and align the global finance team with business goals and organizational values.
- Dynamic Financial Function: Lead the creation of a flexible, responsive finance function capable of supporting a fast-moving, competitive retail environment.
- Ownership of Financial Services: Deliver focused financial management services across all brand departments, ensuring accountability for outputs.
- Reporting and Analysis: Produce accurate financial and management reports, including consolidated financials, fund and cash flow statements for company and its entities.
- Cost and Profitability Improvement: Analyze operational results to recommend cost-reduction strategies and profit improvement opportunities.
- Process Optimization: Lead efforts in offshoring, automating processes, and managing major system implementations and upgrades.
- P&L, Taxation, and Legal Support: Oversee P&L, taxation, and provide legal support.
- Compliance and Reporting: Regularly review accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and reporting standards.
- Performance Metrics: Develop performance measures and executive dashboards to monitor financial health.
- Budget Management: Oversee the annual budgeting process, including cost center and product cost reporting, and implement budget control procedures.
- AR/AP and Audit Oversight: Supervise AR, AP, and Audit departments, providing support and approvals as needed.
- Capital and Cash Flow Monitoring: Manage working capital, banking relationships, insurance, cash flow projections, and ensure a cash threshold to meet operational needs.
- Audit Preparation: Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and support external audits.
- Shared Services Center: Establish and run a finance shared services center, promoting operational efficiency and cost optimization.
- Team Development: Drive the performance and efficiency of the finance team, evaluate SLAs/KPIs, and support their development.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- CPA Qualification: A licensed CPA with 20+ years of experience in accounting and finance, across both public accounting and private industry.
- Corporate and Midsize Enterprise Experience: Background in large corporate environments and mid-sized private enterprises. Big 4 and U.S. multinational experience preferred.
- Manufacturing Sector Experience: Expertise in inventory management, payroll, audit, tax planning, finance and treasury, governance, legal compliance, credit, and collection.
- Global Finance Oversight: Experience in U.S. GAAP and oversight of finance operations across China, India, and Thailand. Leadership of global intercompany entities is preferred.
- Cost Accounting and M&A Expertise: Hands-on experience in cost accounting, global taxation, and mergers and acquisitions.
- ERP & Technology Expertise: Familiarity with Microsoft Navision and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred), including ERP upgrades. Strong technology acumen in process automation, RPA, and finance tools is a plus.
