Job Description:

Lamoille Health Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance department and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Chief Financial Officer is a member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization and ensuring its financial health and sustainability.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Participates in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff in their department.

* Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

* Conducts performance reviews

* Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary.)

* Participates in long-term strategic, financial and information systems planning initiatives as member of executive leadership team.

* Oversees all patient accounting and reimbursement functions, including representations of Lamoille Health Partners with third party payers and managed care organizations.

* Oversees all general accounting functions, including financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, etc. Participates in independent and other audit processes and implements systems improvements and audit recommendations.

* Provides stewardship of the organization's resources via the development of the annual operating, capital grant and program budgets. Monitors and controls expenditures and analyzes/identifies variances. Develops cash flow budget.

* Attends Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and other Board Committees as necessary. Attends external meetings to present financial information and to respond to related inquiries and requests.

* Establishes credibility throughout the organization as well as with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.

* Maintains appropriate financial systems, ledgers, policies and procedures. Directs the preparation of a variety of reports and statements in support of financial planning and analysis activities.

* Maintains appropriate information systems, ledgers policies, procedures and controls. Directs the preparation of a variety of reports and statements in support of financial planning and analysis activities.

* Prepares financial section of grant proposals and grant renewals and ensures that related financial reporting requirements are met. Participates in the consideration, pursuit, development and writing of grant and funding endeavors.

* Oversees preparation and filing of local, state and federal tax forms and regulatory filings and ensures compliance with regulatory fiscal and control requirements.

* Abide by Lamoille Health Partners' Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct during term of employment.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: (Minimum education, experience, technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position.)

* Seven to ten years of progressively responsible related experience in the management and administration of a healthcare or non-profit environment is required

* Ability to demonstrate knowledge of accounting, finance, grants, third-party payers, and auditing principles.

* B.A. in Accounting or B.S. in Finance with CPA or MBA strongly preferred

* Federally Qualified Health Center background is strongly preferred

* Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills are a requirement for success in this role with the ability to adapt to changing business needs

* Establish organizational standards, policies & procedures, compliance for finance, accounting, regulatory, reimbursement

* Manage and protect Lamoille Health Partners assets and ensure stability, set financial benchmarks

* Lead with personal integrity, LHP core values, active engagement with local/state/national levels

* Knowledge in accounting/finance operations, grant management, revenue cycle, 340b pharmacy program, strategic planning
