ABOUT THE POSITION

The Virtual CFO should be a team player and experienced in growing businesses. Virtual CFOs work with the CEO and Executive Teams of their clients developing strategic growth plans, improvement of systems and accounting processes, internal controls, developing procedures, maintaining relationships with CPA firms, banking, and legal, implementation of dashboards and exit planning as needed. The Virtual CFO oversees all aspects of accounting and finance, including preparation and reporting of financial statements, financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting and long range strategic financial planning. This position will work with fast growing clients.

This is a full-time position. Our clients represent a wide variety of industries. Strong technical accounting, excellent client service skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to differing client requirements are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, evaluate, direct the client's fiscal function and performance.
  • Participate in the development of the client's organization's plans.
  • Evaluate and advise of the impact of decisions, impact of new products, ventures, etc.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to CEO and Board.
  • Enhance and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the company.
  • Be a developer of solutions to challenges.
  • Optimize the Treasury functions.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and forecasting models.
  • Analyze, advise and execute on any contracts.
  • Evaluation of the finance and accounting structure and plan for continuous improvement.
  • Financial reporting and analysis.
  • Manage accounting personnel: A/R Specialist, Bookkeeper, Payroll, etc.
  • Oversee the Human Resources Department, if needed.
  • Participate and oversee the raising of capital to fund growth, if needed.
  • Maintain banking relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years experience
  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
