About the Role:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for managing the financial health and strategic planning of the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group. Based on site in Yountville, California, this position will oversee all financial operations across multiple properties, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with the company's long-term vision.
Reporting directly to the CEO/ Chef Owner, the CFO will play an integral role in decision-making processes, working closely with the C-Suite and partnering with other operational leaders to drive sustainable growth, optimize financial performance, and uphold the group's commitment to excellence in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with C-suite to develop and execute the overall financial strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Works with restaurant management to prepare annual budgets, forecasting and financial planning processes to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.
- Implement effective financial controls and systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team, advisory board and external stakeholders.
- Optimize cash flow management and forecasting processes to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations and future growth initiatives.
- Advance the capabilities of your direct reports through appropriate delegation, vision, and leadership. Establish clear expectations and standards of performance and accountability to the achievement of objective targets.
- Provide strategic insights to executive leadership on financial risks, opportunities, and long-term planning.
- Lead the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accuracy, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with property leaders to optimize cost structures and enhance profitability.
Desired Qualifications:
We are seeking a seasoned financial leader who thrives in dynamic, high-performance environments. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position, with demonstrated success in financial leadership within the hospitality or related industries.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive financial growth and operational efficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of financial systems, reporting, and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team of finance professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Dedication to mentorship and the development of a positive, growth-oriented workplace culture.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
