Chief Financial Officer - Sustainability Focussed Grocery Startup

The opportunity is to work for a rapidly growing, sustainability focused food startup. The company have a strong mission statement and are trying to eliminate the excessive amount of produce wasted by US consumers.

They were founded in 2016 and impressively have already managed to raise in excess of $50M across two funding rounds from a number of prestigious VCs.

The is an exciting time to be joining as they are forecasting to achieve 2X growth this year will see them exceed $60M+ in revenue. With their most recent fund raise, they plan to double headcount from 60 – 100+.

They will also continue expanding into new grocery categories and new geographies and expect to be shipping to 100% of ZIP codes in the 48 lower states within the next 12 months.

They are now seeking an experienced CFO who will lead the Finance function, reporting into the CEO and working closely with the founders and board. You will play a pivotal role in helping them accelerate towards an exit within the next three years.

Requirements

• Must have experience of working within a B2B or marketplace or SaaS business model (essential)
• 10+ years' experience
• 4 years minimum experience of working for a fast growth, VC backed startup
• Ideally have 2+ years banking or PE experience
• Experience raising capital for early stage businesses.
• Strong inventory management experience
• High level of proficiency in Excel
• Solid knowledge of the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and GAAP principles
• Track record of close partnership with C-suite / senior level executives
