Chief Financial Officer
Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will direct and oversee the financial activities of the agency, including the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and the creation of forecasts predicting future growth. The CFO will oversee the accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions. Additionally, the CFO will supervise the Chief Technical Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring effective risk management strategies are in place. The CFO will work with other department heads tomonitor each department and make recommendations, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and compliance requirements.
In this executive role, the CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that support the agency's mission and objectives. This includes managing financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing financial performance through strategic planning and analysis. The CFO will also play a key role in organizational development, providing leadership and mentorship to the finance team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The CFO will collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior leaders to drive the agency's financial success and sustainability. This includes identifying opportunities for growth, managing financial resources effectively, and ensuring that the agency's financial practices are robust and resilient. The CFO will also be responsible for communicating financial performance and strategy to the board of directors and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns. Collaborates and supervises the Organizational Fiscal Year Budgets with Senior Leadership and Finance team.Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for the management team, and the rest of the agency.Develop, review, and implement policies and procedures for the department's financial operations.Ensures compliance with professional accounting standards, rules, regulations, and laws by directing, supervising, and facilitating the preparation and maintenance of required and appropriate financial records, monthly and annual financial reports, and all other financial reporting as may be required by federal, state, local agencies, or established accounting standards.Supervise the Chief Technical Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, including oversight of Risk Management. This includes ensuring that risk management strategies are in place and effective, and that both departments are aligned with the organization's overall goals and compliance requirements.Coordinate with other department heads to ensure that financial strategies and operations align with overall organizational goals. This includes collaborating on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support the agency's strategic objectives.Lead and develop the finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. This involves setting performance goals, conducting regular evaluations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Identify and mitigate financial risks. This includes developing risk management strategies, conducting regular financial audits, and ensuring that the agency's financial practices are robust and resilient.Drive financial performance through strategic planning and analysis. This involves analyzing financial data, identifying trends and opportunities, and making recommendations to improve financial performance.Collaborate with external stakeholders. This includes engaging with financial institutions, auditors, regulatory bodies, and other external partners to ensure compliance, secure funding, and support the agency's financial health.Perform other related duties as assigned.Competencies

This involves the ability to analyze financial data, identify trends and opportunities, and make recommendations to improve financial performance.Proficiency in regulatory compliance and governance. This includes ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations and maintaining exact standards of corporate governance.Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills. This involves working effectively with other department heads and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.High level of integrity and ethical standards. This includes maintaining confidentiality, demonstrating honesty and transparency, and upholding the organization's values and principles.Education and Experience Requirements
Master's degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance required.Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.Eight to ten years of experience in fiscal management required.Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.Experience in Contracts Administration and Medicaid Funded Programs.Salary and Benefits
$240,000-$260,000
