The City of Healdsburg operates under a Council-Manager form of government, comprised of five council members serving a four-year term as elected by community votes. The Council is the governing body of the City and is responsible for adopting the biennial budget. The City provides municipal services through nine (9) departments which include City Manager's Office, Community Services, Community Development, Finance, Fire, Housing, Police, Public Works, and Utilities.

Experience and Training: Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
License and Certificate: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License may be required at the time of appointment. SHRM-CP Certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) or other professional Human Resource Certification is desirable.
