SUMMARY
The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at URG, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the Executive Team, will be crucial in establishing URG as the preferred local operating, investment and development partner in our target markets. The CIO is responsible for developing and implementing investment themes and tactical strategies that align with core organizational objectives, with a dual emphasis on achieving attractive investment returns and driving enterprise value growth.
As a voting member of URGs Investment Committee, the CIO will lead regular investment meetings and play a central role in shaping the companys investment approach. The CIO will also participate in quarterly meetings with the Board of Directors, contributing to the preparation and presentation of board materials. In addition, in its capacity as a member of the Executive Team, the CIO will represent URG both publicly, regularly interacting with and maintaining relationships with capital partners, investors, lenders, and the brokerage community.
This role encompasses leading URGs acquisitions, development, and asset management teams while overseeing the full lifecycle of investment projects from acquisition through disposition with a focus on creating alpha. The CIO will identify and reassess investment themes, ensuring processes and procedures are in-place to support investment activities. This role involves a hands-on approach in overseeing all investment activities, mentoring and developing a growing investment team, and driving projects to enhance organizational resilience, financial strength, and operational efficiency.
