Job Title: Chief Medical Officer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead a network of 200-300 emergency care clinicians, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and clinical leadership. This role requires a visionary leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on structure management, clinical excellence, and growth. The CMO will play a pivotal role in driving regional expansion with a pathway to national reach, serving as a key executive partner to elevate clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Provide oversight and support for a team of 200-300 emergency care physicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence.
- Develop and implement structured management systems to enhance clinical operations and physician engagement.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing clinicians, ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals.
Strategic Growth:
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute strategies for regional expansion, with a long-term vision for national growth.
- Identify opportunities to enhance clinical service delivery, operational performance, and patient outcomes.
- Represent the organization at industry events and build partnerships to support growth initiatives.
Clinical Excellence:
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Promote evidence-based practices and continuous education within the clinical workforce.
- Oversee the development and adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory compliance.
Operational Oversight:
- Partner with operations leadership to optimize workflows, resource allocation, and service delivery.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to physician productivity, patient outcomes, and financial performance.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical and administrative teams to ensure alignment on organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and active medical license.
- Board-certified in Emergency Medicine or a related specialty.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large physician networks.
- Proven track record of success in driving growth and implementing structured management systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Growth-oriented mindset with the energy and vision to scale operations regionally and nationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, MHA, or equivalent leadership training is highly desirable.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions or scaling multi-regional healthcare operations.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and payer systems in emergency care.
