AMI has an exciting leadership opportunity available for MRI Technologists: Regional Chief MRI Technologist. This management position will focus on the oversight of MRI clinical operations in the North region of offices, including Vineland, Bridgeton, Woolwich, Mullica Hill/Tomlin, Sicklerville, Deptford, and Glassboro.AMI offers a generous compensation package including medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, Paid Time Off (PTO), Holidays, 401k and profit sharing along with the opportunity to work in an exciting and progressive outpatient practice.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Manages the daily operations of the MRI function throughout the assigned region. Coordinates all changes with the Senior Chief MRI Technologist. Directs the activities of staff MRI Technologists.Prepares and administers the monthly schedule by assigned date and submits it to Senior Chief MRI Technologist for review. Ensures that unscheduled absences are covered. Approves or denies time off requests.Approves timecards following AMI protocol and addresses attendance and tardiness.Submits for ACR certification and maintains all ACR certifications for assigned locations.Ensures MRI safety protocols are followed, and that staff receive training. Ensures all assigned locations have MRI safe stretchers, wheelchairs and other necessary patient care equipment.Reviews all MRI protocols, policies and procedures at minimum yearly and as assigned by Senior Chief MRI Technologist or Director of Imaging ServicesCollaborates on and initiates new policies and procedures.Provides training for new employees and updates existing staff with in-services.Addresses performance issues in a timely and fair manner. Performs annual MRI staff evaluations on a timely basis.Researches implants and assists staff in clearing implants.Performs work as a staff MRI Technologist. Operates all aspects of MR scanning unit, incorporating extensive knowledge of systems computer and all program modalities to perform scanning procedures and transfer images to film or software for interpretation. Evaluates screening to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field. Consults with Radiologist and implements proper scanning protocols as directed by the Radiologist.Works as a scanning technologist a minimum of 1 day per week or more to cover departmental needsCovers other MRI regions as needed. Works closely with Senior Chief MRI Technologist and other Regional Chief Technologists to coordinate PTO time and cover for one another when off.Must be available during off hours to receive phone calls and assist when needed.Completes daily work schedule, documenting all required forms, worksheets, and logbooks. Monitors patient flow and accommodates unscheduled patients and add-on studies. Participates in rotation coverage.Trouble-shoots and recognizes potential equipment malfunctions. Reports discrepancies to service personnel. When possible, corrects system problems to reduce downtime. Advises the Office Administrators of the need for all maintenance, service, and repair work.Advises the Office Administrators when non-stock items need to be replenished. Participates in all office meetings, in-service programs, continuing education programs and other designated activity. Becomes familiar with and responds to office codes, policies, and procedures to ensure optimum patient, employee, visitor, and physical plant safety and security.Attends monthly operations meetings as needed.Demonstrates competency in assisting with patients in all age categories: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.Performs all other duties as required and assigned.The work schedule includes days and evenings with weekend availability. Schedules are subject to change based on business and department needs. The individual assuming this role will balance a clinical scanning schedule along with administrative responsibilities.Eligible and qualified candidates are experienced MRI Technologists with ARRT MR registry; ARMRIT registry is also acceptable.
