The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a full-time, BC, Dentist to serve as the Section Chief of its Dental Service. Highlights of this position include:
- Competitive Starting Salary $200,000 - $250,000
- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm; Compressed schedule may be authorized at supervisors discretion
- Ensures dental care is delivered in accordance with hospital policy, meeting or exceeding community standards and VHA national benchmarks
- Ensures dental care for patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings are smooth, patient centered, and safe
- Supervises all operational aspects of the Dental Service and professional staff
- Develops strong, collegial working relationships with other leaders within the medical center (both clinical and administrative), and with other service Chiefs/section heads
- Oversees the development and implementation of systems redesigns projects, quality improvements and assurance programs of inpatient services
- Recognizes and modifies care based on age, development, and cultural needs of patients
Additional Requirements:
- Board Certified Dentist (DDS)
- Three (3) year experience as a dentist
- One (1) year supervisory experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
