At Brisk Teaching, we aim to lighten the workload for teachers with AI powered tools that take care of administrative tasks so that teachers can spend more time doing what they love - teaching. Brisk is an AI-powered Chrome extension that simplifies teaching by integrating seamlessly with tools teachers already use like Google Classroom, Docs, Slides, YouTube, and articles. In seconds, teachers can create instructional materials, provide feedback, and evaluate student work - right from where they're already working.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Chief of Staff. to support the CEO and broader company operations. This role blends executive support, administrative management, and light project coordination, ensuring the CEO's time is optimized and the organization runs smoothly. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, excels at prioritizing tasks, and demonstrates exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

YOU WILL:
  • Executive support

    • Manage the CEO's calendar, including scheduling meetings, calls, and dinners.

    • Proactively organize and prioritize the CEO's inbox, drafting responses and flagging critical items.

    • Ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings by gathering materials, managing agendas, and taking follow-up actions as needed.

    • Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for the CEO.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

    • Manage special projects and initiatives that don't fall neatly into one team's domain.

    • Support the planning and execution of key events, including team retreats and other company gatherings.

  • Strategic Operations

    • Serve as a thought partner to the CEO, helping prioritize initiatives and ensuring alignment with company goals.

    • Support the CEO and leadership team in developing and tracking key strategic initiatives.

    • Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, investor updates, and company-wide communications.

    • Step in for the CEO when he is unable to attend internal or external meetings.

YOU HAVE:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Obsessive attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Low ego and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to tackle any task, big or small.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
