The Chief of Staff to the CFO is a key member of the Finance team. The individual serves as a central point for the CFO to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in developing and driving the strategic business agenda for the organization. This highly visible role will lead and drive key strategic initiatives that will increase organizational capability and efficiency, including change initiatives, employee engagement, communications, project management, new business ventures and logistical operations. The individual will be expected to engage in/add value to technical subjects with the Finance Leadership Team, as well as balance multiple projects spanning Finance and the Equitable organization.

In addition, the role is responsible for ensuring that the CFO is fully briefed and prepared for all day-to-day professional interactions and activities, which include but not limited to research, investor meetings, presentation creation, executive briefings, financial reporting, monthly business reviews, Board of Director meetings, etc.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in/assist with the strategic, tactical, and technical business planning and implementation, requiring close communication and interaction with senior leaders to ensure stated goals and objectives are executed.

  • Support the coordination and preparation for all meetings/events chaired and/or attended by the CFO.

  • Partner with Investor Relations and M&A teams on overall strategy leveraging role to drive awareness and completion of key initiatives

  • Assist in planning and preparing for: quarterly and monthly business area operating reviews with senior executive team and other outside conferences.

  • Play a key role in Finance agile transformation and embrace this new way of thinking

  • This individual will also partner with other business areas, the Finance Leadership Team, and Executive Management on cross-functional projects and initiatives.

  • Coordinates with Performance Leads in other areas to drive engagement across teams

In Office Schedule: This role will be working on a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days in office per week.

The base salary range for this position is $119,000 - $178,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is comfortable in a high performance, fast paced environment. Absolute confidentiality is required. Well-developed financial/quantitative analytical skills and superb written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

  • 5 years of work experience
