A health services network in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join their growing Interventional Cardiology team in as their new Chief Physician Assistant, Interventional Cardiology.
About the Opportunity:
- Department: Cardiology
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:00AM to 5:30PM (Four 9.5-hour shifts)
Responsibilities:The Chief Physician Assistant, Interventional Cardiology will:
- Interview and train new Physician Assistants (PAs) for the Interventional Cardiology section
- Provide general supervision of PAs, including reviewing performance and assisting with disciplinary actions
- Prepare work schedules and assist with payroll management for department PAs
- Collaborate in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures
- Serve as a liaison between department staff, nursing units, referring physicians, house staff officers, and secretarial staff
- Handle administrative tasks related to PAs in the department
- Participate in leadership activities and training initiatives
- Oversee all PAs within the Interventional Cardiology section across both the Moses and Weiler campuses
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program
- NYS Physician Assistant license and certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- 5+ years of leadership experience as a Physician Assistant
- Proven ability to manage staff and lead a team
