Northwell Health's Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified to join the team at South Oaks Hospital located in Amityville, New York. We are seeking a highly motivated practitioner with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills who can work collaboratively with other clinical professionals.
This is a truly unique opportunity to join the team at South Oaks providing services for our Comprehensive Outpatient Behavioral Services Program as well as care for our Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program. Responsibilities will split between both programs and include psychiatric evaluations, evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), development of recommendations for continued care and medical student education. Our team is responsive to the unique needs of children and adolescents and focused on empowering them to manage their symptoms, attain personal goals and function effectively when they re-enter the community.
South Oaks Hospital is a 202-bed behavioral health hospital located on the Nassau/Suffolk border of Long Island. For well over a century, we have established a local and national reputation for delivering high quality and compassionate care, crisis management, treatment and recovery services. Our extensive range of services for children, teens, and adults focuses on improving our patients' functioning at home, work and school, and in their relationships with family, friends and others. Our inpatient services include child, adolescent and adult units, as well as substance use disorder treatments, including services tailored for healthcare professionals dealing with addictions. Our outpatient services include comprehensive behavioral services for young people ages 5 to 21, an adolescent partial hospitalization program, and treatment for substance use disorders for adolescents and adults.
