Overview:
Clinician at Sound works with a variety of clients with behavioral health disorders and assist them in becoming as healthy and engaged as possible in the community, using recovery language and principles.
We are looking for a CFS Clinician for our Bel-Red office. This caring and patient clinician is responsible for providing assessment, direct clinical intervention, and supportive consultation to child, adolescent, and adult family members presenting with a wide variety of emotional, behavioral and co-occurring disorders. Delivery of therapeutic services in the office, school, and community, to child, adolescent, and adult family members will be emphasized, including ongoing consultation and collaboration with collateral agencies (schools, agencies, caseworkers, etc.). The team member in this Job will be required to work with the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), education (school), inpatient facilities, mental health residential facilities, and other systems of care in developing holistic, strength based, recovery oriented therapeutic plans to maintain children and adolescents with significant mental health problems in the community.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Provides assessment, direct services and/or internal and external organization referrals for clients.
- Develops client assessments and treatment plans and maintains accurate and timely clinical records according to organization policy.
- Prepares and Reviews necessary reports, summaries and progress notes, and incorporates into clinical records.
- Performs consultation and liaison duties with other agencies and resources on behalf of the client.
- Assists client to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services.
- Monitor medication regimes and treatment compliance.
- Monitor utilization of services and the success of outcome measures.
- Develop plans to address poor utilization of services with Supervisor.
- Participates in team member meetings, consultations, case presentations and in-service training.
- Participates in ongoing program development and assessment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Required Masters degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field.
- At least 2 years of directly related clinical experience to the program as a clinician or case manager and demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and treatment.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Has an advanced level of understanding of the principles of individual therapy, group therapy and/or case management approach to providing services.
- Possesses and routinely demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the mental and/or behavioral health and support resources of King County and has a working knowledge with state and local health delivery systems, including knowledge of various funding principles and clinical services mandates.
- Understands recovery concepts in behavioral health; synthesizes and applies, as appropriate to their work at Sound.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn new tasks and skills quickly, and to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, while simultaneously managing crises.
- Ability to demonstrate the capacity to appreciate and work well with the complex and diverse population.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
- Washington State drivers license and insurable driving record required.
- Must be able to obtain a WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
- Mental Health Professional (MHP) is required.
- Must pass a criminal background check.

Current sign-on bonus: $10,000
Pay Range: $29.94 - $33.64 per hour
