Must have an Associate's degreeDuties and Responsibilities:Meet the needs of all children: Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, School Age.Supervise and monitor children at all times.Individualize one-on-one and group activities to reflect the unique needs and strengths of all children in the classroom.Develop lesson plans that reflect mandated elements, parental and cultural influences, and promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of the children.Follow a consistent schedule that includes small and large group experiences, choice time, music and movement, large and small motor activities, school readiness skills development, meals, and effective transitions between activities.Maintain accurate written records; complete all documentation for each child daily.Engage with parents; conduct parent-teacher conferences.Cleaning: mopping, sweeping, keeping the classroom environment in a sanitary condition.Assisting children with toileting: changing diapers and potty training.Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds during the workday.Attend meetings, trainings, and appropriate professional development activities.Assist in other duties as required.Job Requirements:Must be at least 21 years of age.Prefer 5 years of experience working in a classroom with the ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children.Employment is conditional pending background verification by the Department of Human Services.Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.Must have a TB skin test.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of available community resources.Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel.Responsible, honest, kind, energetic, demonstrates initiative, strong communicator, level-headed, creative, lifelong learner, resourceful, organized.Must meet all training requirements within 90 days.Must have a driver's license and Social Security card.Must have good communication skills.Must have First Aid & CPR Certification.Must have a bachelor's degree or associate degree.Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and implement classroom lesson plans.Must be able to work directly with children in the classroom.Must be able to coach and train direct care staff.Must possess the following qualities:Good decision-making skills.Instructional skills.Interpersonal skills.Patience.Physical stamina.Job Type: Full-timePay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
