ATTRIBUTES:- Teacher for preschoolers. Associates degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field OR Child Development Associate credential or other office recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period and one (1) year of experience related to caring for children OR nine (9) college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field with a plan of study leading to a Child Development Associate credential OR Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field and two (2) years of experience related to caring for children
- Group Teacher for infants/toddlers. Associates degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field and one (1) year of experience related to caring for infants and toddlers OR Infant and Toddler Child Care and Education credential or Infant Toddler Child Development Associate credential or other Office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler developmental period OR Two (2) years of experience related to caring for children OR nine (9) college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field, with a plan of study leading to: Infant and Toddler Child Care and Education credential/Infant Toddler Child Development Associate credential/other office recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler developmental period OR Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Child Development or a related field and two (2) years of experience related to caring for children, one of which must be related to caring for infants and toddlers
- Group Teacher for school-age children. Associates degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field OR school-age Child Care credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period and one (1) year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age OR High School Diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Classroom Leadership. Create an environment that supports children's growth and development; meet the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children; use the curriculum to provide weekly plans and objectives which meet individual as well as group needs; establish and achieve annual goals for classroom
- Safety. Maintain accurate individual records for each child and uses them to set goals for individual children; ensure the safety of the children and promote good health habits
- Leadership & Communication. Communicate appropriately with families regarding children's daily activities verbally and written as needed; conference with parents effectively and appropriately; supervise and guides assistant teachers and volunteers and makes appropriate recommendations for performance appraisals
PAY SUMMARY: The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
