FT - includes Nights and Weekends $1000 sign on bonus $19.76 Description: To provide a safe, secure, therapeutic environment for children residing in The House of Good Shepherd programs. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; some higher education preferred.
- Current valid NYS driver's license with 3 years driving experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Supervise children in their daily routine in accordance with agency policy and procedures and program protocols;
- Participate in the development and implementation of ongoing activity programs for children in care;
- Maintain a safe, clean and homelike environment for children in care;
- Manage all behavioral problems in a manner that reflects the agency Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training and agency policy and procedures;
- Provide feedback regarding individualized treatment plans and implement these plans as defined by the child's primary therapist/treatment team;
- Regularly participate in staff meetings and supervision;
- Ensure completion of all written documentation as defined by program and agency policy and procedure;
- Ensure that all program and agency policies and procedures are followed;
- In the absence of the shift supervisor or other assigned staff, pass medication in accordance with physicians orders and record medications given according to agency guidelines and procedures;
- Participate in QI training and actively participate in the agency Quality Improvement Program;
- Successfully complete all required agency training as defined by program and agency policy;
- Other related tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor
