Location : 1200 N Dupont Highway, DoverJob Type: ProfessionalJob Number: 2024-00172Division: CHESSDepartment: CHESS - Early Childhood Innovation CenterOpening Date: 09/30/2024General Description of the Position The Child Development Associate (CDA@) Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Early Childhood initiatives Officer at the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC) to advance a unified vision for the engagement, retention, and successful completion of the CDA@ credential, awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition. The CDA@ Coordinator will oversee the administration of the Statewide CDA@ initiative, playing a key role in leading and executing strategies to increase the number of early childhood professionals pursuing this vital credential.This role involves managing a statewide cohort delivery system, coordinating Quorum activities, tracking progress, and serving as the ECICs primary liaison to the Council for Professional Recognition.Additionally, the CDA@ Coordinator will provide technical assistance to all ECIC partners involved in the initiative, ensuring the statewide model's consistency through training and monitoring. The coordinator will also be responsible for recruiting and advising new students, offering guidance and support throughout their journey, including assistance with student portfolios. Serve as the primary contact for students interested in the early childhood CDA@ pathway: Act as the main point of contact, providing guidance and support to prospective and current students.Lead and oversee the ECIC CDA@ Cohort Program: Design, modify, and update program models and materials. Recruit and manage cohort coaches, ensuring the program meets the highest standards.Execute and manage CDA@ admission procedures: Review applications, verify credentials, contact scholars as needed, and maintain the CDA@ interest list. Implement a seamless admission process.Support recruitment and marketing efforts for the CDA@ program: Distribute promotional materials, provide information to community partners, and engage with organizations to boost program visibility.Advise students on the appropriate phase of the CDA@ model: Connect students with the right cohort facilitator based on their work location, ensuring they are placed in the connect phase of the program.Conduct application information and support sessions: Organize and lead sessions to assist students with the application process. Develop instructional videos and guides to facilitate understanding.Maintain and manage databases: Oversee the TEAMS and Delaware BCE databases for CDA@ Cohort Coaches, tracking critical information such as demographics, employment status, assessment progress, and credential attainment. Monitor student progress and intervene when necessary.Supervise CDA@ cohort instructors: Assess the quality of training, provide feedback, and offer recommendations for improvement. Facilitate monthly meetings with Cohort Coaches and supervisors, preparing agendas and activities.Ensure program fidelity: Monitor and visit cohort meetings to ensure consistency and alignment with program goals.Collaborate with Cohort Coaches for timely scheduling: Work closely with coaches to ensure the timely scheduling of CDA@ Professional Development Specialists.Organize the annual graduation ceremony for CDA@ Scholars: Plan and execute recognition ceremonies in collaboration with the ECIC leadership team.Required Knowledge. Qualification Standards Education and Experience: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field and relevant experience required (ex. early childhood education, academic advisement, counseling, mentoring, student services/support).Three to five years of project management experience in the Early Childhood industry preferred.Experience obtaining and/or supporting the Child Development Associate@ Credential preferred.Excellent professional and interpersonal communication skills are essential.Bilingual preferred.
