Job Overview:

Provides group recreation programs and individualized activities in coordination with Child Life and Therapeutic Recreation specialists for hospitalized children and adolescents. Oversees volunteers and central activity area to maintain a safe andinviting environment. Coordinates special events and programming for patients as well as sorting of toy donations received by the hospital

The position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $24.65 - $34.80/hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of activities/services related to the provision of effective therapeutic recreation and child life services
• Performs patient care related functions which do not require direct contact with the patients but which affect the outcome of therapeutic recreation services
• Performs a variety of administrative and operational functions in support of the Therapeutic Recreation/Child Life Department

Qualifications:

Required:

• CPR Certification
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster

Preferred:

• Bachelor or Associates degree in related field
• Knowledge of basic child development
• 1+ years experience in a group setting
