Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and administering an educational and recreational program for hospitalized children for both Inpatient and Ambulatory pediatric services. Responsible for implementing and maintaining a program that is designed to further the social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth of children in the hospital environment. The Child Life Specialist is also responsible for policy information and overall program.
Child Life Specialist designs, implements and evaluates programs that assess and treat the psychosocial, developmental and educational needs of children and their families in the healthcare setting.
