Purpose Statement:The job of CN Server is done for the purpose/s of prepping and serving food items for consumption by CN clientele, processing transactions, and maintaining facilities in a sanitary condition.Purpose Statement:The job of Server is done for the purpose/s of distributing food items for consumption by students and school personnel, and processing receipts; collecting payments for food items, and maintaining facilities in a sanitary condition.Essential Functions
- Assists student helpers for the purpose of providing instructions and guidance for performing their job functions.
- Cleans utensils, equipment, the storage, food preparation and serving areas for the purpose of maintaining sanitary conditions.
- Inspects food items for the purpose of verifying quantity and specifications and/or complying with health department requirements.
- Loads carts for the purpose of ensuring that equipment is returned to production site.
- Monitors the kitchen (e.g. spill, hazards, food handling and temperature, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a safe work environment and complying with department standards.
- Prepares records for the purpose of identifying excess food items.
- Processes daily receipts for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of information and preparing monies for delivery.
- Receives carts at assigned sites for the purpose of assisting in unloading as needed.
- Responds to inquiries of students, staff and the public for the purpose of providing information on meal pricing, menus, etc.
- Serves one or more items of food for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional requirements and/or requests of students and school personnel.
Other Functions
- Assists other personnel as required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
