Archuleta County is seeking a qualified Child Support Legal Technician to join our dynamic team! We offer a competitive starting wage of $22.28/per hour, plus excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(a) retirement plan, County will match employee contribution, up to 7%, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, sick leave donation program, bereavement leave, and $50,000 of life and AD&D insurance.Our Child Support Legal Technician will perform a variety of responsible clerical and/or paralegal duties in the Child Support Enforcement Division; enter and maintain records/files on all public assistance, non-public assistance and responding out of state child support cases, research district courts files and obtain copies of documents, enter court orders and ledgers into automated system, conduct location functions, and provide clerical support for division as needed.Assist in the establishment, modification of support orders as well as monitor and enforce payment of court-ordered child support, spousal maintenance and medical support, take enforcement action against delinquent cases, negotiate wage assignments and agreements, ensure reimbursement of public assistance through administrative and legal action, prepare and file various court documents as well as work with Child Support Enforcement agencies in other states, and maintain related records/files.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentTwo to three years of clerical and extensive public contact experience.One year paralegal or legal experience desired but not required.Please view the full job description.
