The SNAP® (Stop Now and Plan) Model is an award winning approach to serving children and families. It is designed for children ages 6-11 that are having behavioral issues at home, school, and their community or have come into contact with the police as a result of their own behavior. SNAP® is a juvenile delinquency prevention program that helps children and parents deal effectively with anger by teaching them how to respond in a way that makes their problems smaller, not bigger. The Family Worker provides services to families and conducts parent group sessions. Key Objectives of this Role
  • Develop positive relationships with children and families that reflect the core values of Auberle and the program
  • Plans and conducts Transformer Clubs according to the SNAP® Children's group, as assigned.
  • Assure compliance with Council on Accreditation (COA) Standards, Sanctuary Principles and Values, State Regulations, County Contracts, and Agency Policies and Procedures.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the cultural diversity of consumers, volunteers, staff, and other stakeholders throughout the provision of services.
  • Complete comprehensive high quality documentation as required within time expectations.
QualificationsSkills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with cognitive behavior therapy, structured group and parent education and one year experience working with children and families preferred.
  • Community liaison experience is recommended.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management concepts, multitasking ability, and decision-making skills
  • Pre-employment drug screening and random employment drug testing required.
  • Requires working a flexible schedule including evenings.
  • ACT 33/34 and FBI Clearances Pre-Employment,
