Works directly with the children during hours of operation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cooperating with licensing staff and other appropriate agencies in maintaining compliance with requirements and in improving the quality of care Maintaining a physical environment, including upkeep of equipment, that conforms to OKDHS licensing standards of safety and cleanliness and that is conducive to optimal growth & development of children who attend the center and the well-being of all involved in the childcare center activities 2. Obtaining the required training hours annually to meet the requirements by OKDHS licensing. Assist with the development of plans for day-to-day activities and schedules, ncluding all aspects of children's time at the center and is a part of the staff to child ratio. . Responsible for constant supervision of children at all time, to ensure safety. 5. Maintain progress records of each child's growth and development. 6. Attend promptly to children's personal hygiene needs. 7. Develop rapport with children, parents, and co-workers. 8. Work with parents to promote understanding of their child's growth and development. 9. Attends staff and parent meetings and participates in these meetings. 10. Prepare meals as directed. Assist with clean up duties and proper sanitation. 11. Keep all client information confidential. 12. Assist with development and maintenance of good staff relationships. 13. Assists the Director with coordination of the center's childcare programs to meet the needs of children served. 14. Other duties as assigned. Length of Contract: One hundred eighty-five (185) contract days. Salary commensurate with experience on the negotiated agreement of the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE). Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director or Assistant Director in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, state law, and the negotiated agreement with the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE). CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CPR and First Aid LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, staff, parents, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position. REASONING SKILLS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
