Trinity Reformed Church of Orange City and Hospers Iowa is seeking our next Children's Ministry Associate position to assist our Children's Ministry director on our Orange City campus. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail oriented and able to help with the administration and volunteer scheduling of our Children's Ministry. This is a part time hourly position and includes a combination of work that is needed on campus and work that could be done from anywhere. To see our full job description please read below:Children's Ministry Associate Position DescriptionTrinity Church exists to follow Jesus in mission by partnering with the Holy Spirit to connect people to God, to each other, and to God's redemptive work in the world.Children's Ministry Assistant will help facilitate, in partnership with Christ's body, the spiritual formation of children and families. They will help children grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and love for their neighbor. They will work with the Director of Children and Family Ministries in order to create a safe and nurturing environment for kids from nursery through 5th grade as they explore stories of the faith using age-appropriate materials.QUALIFICATIONS / CHARACTERISTICS
- Demonstrates a vibrant, living, and deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Evidences spiritual and emotional maturity through faithful participation in corporate worship at Trinity Church and by regularly practicing spiritual disciplines.
- Has strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of volunteers, parents, and kids.
- Comfortable working with and learning technology and common online platforms (i.e. Planning Center Online, Youtube, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, etc.).
RELATIONSHIPS AND ACCOUNTABILITY
- Works in close cooperation with other staff under the leadership of the Director of Children and Family Ministries.
- Accountable to the Leadership Team through the Human Resource Team.
- Receives annual performance review from the Human Resource Team and Director of Children and Family Ministries.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists weekly volunteer scheduling, schedule changes and substitutions.
- Assists in communicating with Trinity parents and volunteers.
- Arranges the purchasing of all supplies for the kids ministry.
- Mainstains and organizes kids ministry supplies and materials.
- Sets up for weekly programming including Sunday School and Wednesday Nights
- Serves as a member of the Children's Ministry team.
SALARY AND COMPENSATION
- The Children's Ministry Assistant will be paid hourly.
- This position is part time, up to 20 hours per week.
