Stow Alliance Fellowship in Stow, Ohio is actively looking for a Children's Ministry Director.Stow Alliance is seeking a Kids Ministry Director to join our staff team and builda fresh and dynamic kids ministries. Our vision for Kids Ministry is to build a passionate generation of gospel believers. When a child comes through our Kids Ministry, and moves into Youth Ministry, we want them to look a lot like 12 year old Jesus.Character:Someone who has experienced both the joy and pain of following Jesus A person of character and follower of Jesus Christ that ministers out of your own transformationprocess Able to clearly articulate the gospel (beyond just a transaction) and have a deep and vibrant commitment to the gospel Comfortable acknowledging and working through conflict Someone who deeply loves kids and wants them to have a firsthand faith A proven leader and motivated team-builder A person who takes action, solves problems and gets things done Someone people are drawn to Someone whose life is characterized by setting goals and accomplishing them A follower of Jesus with a track record of functioning within the gifts the Holy Spirit has equipped you with Experienced in leadership roles in either a church or corporate environment Hard-working, well-organized, and detail-oriented, but know how to laugh and have a good time A team player no matter what and you work well with all kinds of people Committed to the core values of Stow Alliance Fellowship Someone with at least 5-10 years of ministry experience Affirming and supportive of the C&MA statements of faith and practice Licensed within the C&MA or are willing to pursue the appropriate licensing, depending on calling and gifting Able to pass an Ohio BCI background checkEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Disciple Children Develop and cast vision for the discipleship of children that leads them to a first-hand faith in Jesus Christ. God has no grand-kids! Oversee the selection and implementation of a comprehensive and integrated Jesus- centered curriculum that spans the entire age range of children's ministryTeam Building & Development Recruit, train, & mobilize robust teams of volunteers to minister to children Work in tandem with the Youth Director to oversee the screening of volunteers withinchildren's and youth ministry
  • Administer the volunteer application and approval process.
  • Train volunteers on a regular basis (recruit, train, and schedule)
  • Ensure that the SAFE Place Policy is implemented and upheld
Parent Partnerships You will be the face and spiritual leader of Children's Ministry and serve as an expert onchild development and spiritual practices for kids and families Develop relationships with parents and equip them to be primary faith nurturers of theirchildren Kids Ministry Programming Oversee all areas of Children's Ministry regarding children - birth through 5th Grade. Develop and maintain a system of check-in that captures information of children and their families Work in tandem with the Youth Director to make sure there is a healthy transition of graduating 5th graders into middle school ministry Assist our summer ministry interns in creating a Jesus-centered week long camp for our communities that is done in different neighborhoods Assist in training and leading the intern team throughout camp Kids Ministry Visibility Ensure that children's ministry is evangelistic and available to families in the community,as well as those inside the church Leadership - Management - Accountability Complete our front door introduction to living life as a disciple of Jesus (i.e. Rooted) Give four hours a month to ministry in the community or district Participate in weekly staff meetings and additional staff activities Work with the Preschool Director to ensure the preschool has accurate and up to date information regarding children's ministry to invite parents to come to Stow Alliance Submit an annual budget for budget areas you personally oversee It is expected that you will maintain a continuous routine of self-development, including attendance at Children's Ministries conferences, seminars, and/or classesEducation Level:
