Our technicians are in constant collaboration with our dispatchers. You'll need to work together to assist the needs of the customers. 2. Enjoys working with their hands Are you good at fixing things? Do you have a natural curiosity about how things (machines/equipment/technology) function? DESCO training is on-the-job, hands-on, with the help of a mentor. You'll learn to perform a variety of services such as Preventive Maintenance Inspection, Service Repairs, Installation, and Troubleshooting. 3. Has ambition to learn / Is open to different learning opportunities The Healthcare Technology Management Industry is constantly evolving; equipment changes and is upgraded often. Training is ongoing. DESCO technicians hold a willingness to fail mindset when out in the field. There are plenty of learning opportunities (things one may be unfamiliar with), and messing up is a valuable part of the learning process. DESCO provides learning opportunities off the field. 4. Likes driving / Appreciates a change of environment Would you rather get paid to sit at a desk or to drive a car, windows down, listening to music? DESCO technicians do their fair share of being on the road. They travel to various locations such as hospitals, laboratories, surgical centers, academic institutions, etc. 5. Prefers to be physically active on the job Do you find yourself unable to sit still on the job? Being a DESCO technician requires one to be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, as well as routine movements like bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, pushing & pulling, and standing for extended periods of time.
