- Enjoy the support of a dedicated Board of Directors operating with the Policy Governance Model.
- Take the vision and goals provided by the Board and build the strategic plan to achieve our ministry goals.
- Track the progress towards goals and make adjustments or recommendations when necessary.
- Develop and monitor the annual ministry budget.
- Work aflexible schedule (about 45-50 hours per week) and attend program events 1-2 evenings per week and 1 Saturday and Sunday per month.

As the Executive Director, you will lead, steward, and unify our ministry and its programs. Our ideal candidate is a driven, compassionate leader with a strong faith, a commitment to our mission, an ability to build long-lasting, meaningful relationships with our community, and a focus on creating an encouraging, supportive, collaborative environment for our staff and volunteers. Our Ideal Executive Director:
- Experienced: 3-5 years in an organizational leadership or business management role. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, ministry, social work, human services, organizational leadership, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant experience may include a leadership role in pastoral ministry, social services, youth ministry, school administration, senior services, etc.
- Servant Leadership: A dynamic, collaborative leader who empowers & equips others. A visionary guided by a deep-rooted Christian faith to continue expanding and improving our programs to serve the ELANCO community better.
- Business-minded: Strong business acumen with previous experience in strategic planning, financial/budget management, contracts, and fundraising.
- Interpersonal Skills: Builds solid relationships within the ministry and also with our partner churches, donors, and other non-profit organizations
- Passionate: A passion to support our ministry and empower our team to serve the ELANCO community with excellence.
- Flexible: a hands-on, accessible leader who can attend our programs and fundraising events outside of regular business hours to support our program staff and connect with the community we serve.
- Curious: A leader who is willing to teach but also be teachable. A drive to ask questions, seek information, embrace challenges, and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and drive program success.
