If this describes you, start your journey with Chubb today!Major Duties & Responsibilities:With the right support and training, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing claim and policy information to provide background for investigations and may determine the extent of the policy's obligations to the insured.
- Contacting, interviewing, and obtaining statements or performing onsite inspections related to customer claims.
- Inspecting and appraising damage for property losses or arranging for such appraisals.
- Evaluating facts to determine the extent of customer loss and executing the policy's payment.
- Preparing reports on investigations, settlements, and evaluations of involved parties.
- Reserving for expected claims and recommending reserve changes to the Team Leader.
- Reviewing claim progress and status with the Team Leader and implementing solutions.
- Assisting the Team Leader in developing methods and improvements for claims handling.
This position primarily allows for remote work; however, local travel to loss sites for onsite inspections will be required most of the time, along with limited travel to catastrophe sites outside the local area. Candidates should be able to safely inspect roofs and carry a ladder when necessary.QualificationsIdeal candidates will possess a two- or four-year degree, trade school or vocational training, an apprenticeship, a technical certification, translatable work or military experience, or have demonstrated success in a role that requires critical thinking, hard work, and ingenuity.Desired Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of professional behaviors, practices, and procedures, along with a strong desire to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
