**Job Description**
**General Purpose:**
To operate churns in efficient and sanitary measure so as to provide product for the fillers as needed
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Pull pasteurized cream inventory as needed and send to lab
+ Plan ahead for proper set up of temperature and aging of pasteurized cream
+ Keep salt solution properly mixed for production
+ Keep churns operating in correct specs
+ Keep accurate and legible records of pasteurized cream, butter production, and added ingredients
+ Keep area clean and loose items picked up
+ Keep lines and ports capped or sealed up
+ Keep board in office updated with information as needed
+ Communicate operations to supervisor and lead
+ Communicate with processors about cream, silos, butter milk, etc
+ Aid in directing the flow of product to specific fillers
+ Clean and CIP equipment as needed
+ Keep self and equipment in a sanitary fashion
+ Check a fill as needed footbath sanitizer, hand soap dispensers, and paper towels
+ Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
+ Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
+ Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
+ Other duties as assigned by management
