General Purpose:
To operate churns in efficient and sanitary measure so as to provide product for the fillers as needed
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pull pasteurized cream inventory as needed and send to lab
- Plan ahead for proper set up of temperature and aging of pasteurized cream
- Keep salt solution properly mixed for production
- Keep churns operating in correct specs
- Keep accurate and legible records of pasteurized cream, butter production, and added ingredients
- Keep area clean and loose items picked up
- Keep lines and ports capped or sealed up
- Keep board in office updated with information as needed
- Communicate operations to supervisor and lead
- Communicate with processors about cream, silos, butter milk, etc
- Aid in directing the flow of product to specific fillers
- Clean and CIP equipment as needed
- Keep self and equipment in a sanitary fashion
- Check a fill as needed – footbath sanitizer, hand soap dispensers, and paper towels
- Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
- Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
- Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
- Other duties as assigned by management

- Good communication skills
- Good math skills
